Architecture & Design Film Festival

February 24 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

I am honored to be moderating an afternoon panel during the launch of the first Architecture & Design Film Festival in DC, to be held at the National Building Museum. The Howard Hughes Corporation, master developer of the 14 million square foot redevelopment of Downtown Columbia, including the Merriweather district, is the presenting sponsor of the debut of a documentary film “The Experimental City,” about a Utopian community, as well as of the panel immediately following the film. The film will be shown at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, and the panel discussion will follow. Panelists are Vanessa Rodriguez, director of marketing for the Howard Hughes Corporation; Eric D. Shaw, director of the DC Office of Planning; and Michael Winstanley, an awPoplarard-winning architect and planner whose work encompasses plans for Poplar Point on the east bank of the Anacostia River.
