Excited to participate in seventh annual writers conference sponsored by the Washington Independent Review of Books.  Previously, I was the main organizer of panels and recruiter of panelists and speakers.  This year, I’m pleased to be a mere panelist!  The subject “Hidden Histories” fits in well with my book FIVE FOR FREEDOM: The African American Soldiers in John Brown’s Army.  And I’m pleased to be sharing the stage with Paul Whitacre (A Civil Life in An Uncivil Time), Patty Pearson (Fly Girls) and George Musgrove (Chocolate City).  Our moderator will be David O. Stewart, former WIRoB president and author of many historical non-fiction and fictional books.
