The venerable and venerated Gaithersburg Book Festival, due to the coronavirus pandemic, has gone virtual this year.  Which meant two of the panels I’d been scheduled to participate in were canceled.  No worries.  I will be in conversation on June 5 with Casey Cep, a talented and prolific New Yorker staff writer and the author of “Furious Hours: Murder, Fraud, and The Last Trial of Harper Lee,” a remarkable book, her first,  the story of Lee and the true crime book she was unable to finish.
