From my book FIVE FOR FREEDOM: The African American Soldiers in John Brown’s Army, I will be telling the story of Osborne Perry Anderson, the sole survivor of John Brown’s ill-fated raid on Harpers Ferry in October 1859 and the author of the only insider account of the raid.  The Zoom event is hosted by the Chester County, Pennsylvania History Center.  Anderson was born in this southeastern Pennsylvania county in 1830.
