I’m thrilled to share my first story published in “The Overlook,” a reader-supported, nonprofit news outlet in the Mid-Hudson Valley. Wherein I profile Chris Evers, the 85-year old proprietor of Our Bookshop in Saugerties — the name means little sawyers in Dutch — in Ulster County, New York. If you love books, especially used books and used book stores, you will enjoy meeting Chris Evers and visiting his emporium, where nothing is digital, and there is even an old-fashioned cash register.
