Montgomery History (formerly the Montgomery County Historical Society) sponsors this regular Zoom event.  I’m pleased to share the story of FIVE FOR FREEDOM: The African American Soldiers in John Brown’s Army . The book, first published in June 2018, continues to resonate and be relevant in 2023. The issues it raises through the stories of these five courageous men of the fight for justice in the land of the free and the home of the brave are  very much alive as our nation struggles to achieve the noble goals set forth in its founding documents and since.  A link to register will be added here soon.
